QR code asset identification gives an individual physical asset its own scannable identity. A QR code, often combined with a human-readable asset number, can connect that item directly to its corresponding record, document, service history, inspection information or digital system.

What information can be included on a QR asset label?
A label can combine a QR code with information such as an asset number, reference, company name, logo, instructions or other human-readable data.
Can every asset have a different QR code?
Yes. Variable-data production allows every individual label to contain its own unique QR code, identifier or destination.
Can you work from our existing Excel or CSV asset register?
Yes. Structured asset data can be used as the basis for producing individually identified labels, subject to checking the format and required production workflow.
Do we need to use your software?
No. QR asset labels can connect to your existing system, database, website or workflow. Dynamic QR code management through Xcan It can also be provided where it adds value.
Can QR codes link to our existing asset management system?
Yes, provided your system can expose an appropriate URL or digital destination for the asset. We can produce the physical labels using the corresponding data you supply.
What happens if a QR code cannot be scanned?
Including a readable asset reference alongside the QR code provides a useful fallback identifier when scanning is unavailable or inappropriate.
Can the QR code destination be changed after printing?
Yes, if the project uses dynamic QR codes. The printed QR code remains unchanged while the destination behind it can be managed separately.
Can we start with a pilot before ordering a larger quantity?
Yes. A pilot is often a sensible way to validate label construction, QR sizing, scanning, data and operational workflow before committing to a larger deployment.
